Inaugural Lions Club of South Australia Award

Pasquale Rossi's dedication to the Italian community was recognised in 1991 when he was bestowed the honour of the inaugural South Italian of the Year Award.

During the last year of Pasquale Rossi's life he was recognized for his lifetime dedication to improving the lives of the italian community and his advocacy in bridging the cultural, artistic and social gap between his home country and that of the country he adopted.  He brought his jovial nature, generosity and expertise to each of the many, many organizations he was involved with over his lifetime. 

The Lion's Club of South Australia received not one but around a dozen* nominations including but not limited to:

His work touched every part of the community. From our children, which he believed should have the opportunity to learn the Italian language and culture as part of the education department curriculum. To the elderly, assisting so they could enjoy a better lifestyle. He helped to bring the Italian culture to the streets of Adelaide.
